Like Ogun, Lagos organises digital classes for WASSCE students amid COVID-19 lockdown

The Lagos State Government has decided to tread the path of the Ogun State Government by announcing digital classes for Senior Secondary School three (SSS 3) students as COVID-19 has led to the closure of schools across the country.

The students were supposed to start their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on April 6, 2020 but the exam has been suspended by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) due to the shutdown of school across the country over the coronavirus pandemic.

To prepare the students for their final exams, the Lagos state government said it will now hold classes on television and radio from Monday Mach 30.

The classes according to a statement on the government’s official Twitter handle will run from Monday to Friday, 11 am to 1pm on Wazobia Max TV and Wazobia FM.

Subjects to be taught in the lesson include – Chemistry, Financial Accounting, Biology, Literature-in-English, English, Physics, Economics, Mathematics, Yoruba.
