WAEC, NECO Exams to Go Fully CBT by 2026 - FG

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced an exciting new initiative aimed at giving students and exam candidates the opportunity to retake their exams without having to wait for the next exam cycle. The program, named “WASCE PC1,” will enable students to resit their exams as early as January and February 2025.

John Kapi, the Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, explained that this new initiative will provide a more flexible option for students who need to retake one or more of their exams. “WASCE PC1 will allow students who access their results and realize they need to resit one or two papers to do so earlier than usual,” Kapi said. “The registration period is open until 8th January 2025, and candidates can sign up through our website or at WAEC-accredited internet cafés.”

This initiative is expected to provide much-needed flexibility and support for students aiming to meet their academic goals on a quicker timeline.
