Jail or bail? Accused “husband murderer”, Yewande Oyediran, knows fate today

Mrs Yewande Oyediran, the lawyer, who is accused of stabbing her husband to death will appear in court on Tuesday.

Yewande faces a single count charge of murder but the hearing today will be about her request either for bail or to be remanded in police custody instead of prison.

Chief Magistrate Kehinde Durosaro-Tijani, the presiding judge, initially turned down the request for bail on February 5 when the case was first heard.

There are indications that the case would be transferred to a high court after today’s hearing at the Iyaganku Magistrate Court, in Oyo State..
