Horror! Highly-connected lawyer wife “stabs husband of three years to death” in Ibadan

Friends of the deceased husband have been sharing the shocking news on social media since it broke on Tuesday.

Lowo Oyediran Ajanaku was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife, Yewande Oyediran, Tuesday morning, following an argument over an “infidelity matter”.

Yewande reportedly also had to seek treatment from a hospital for dislocated shoulders, bruised body and a swollen head in what seems to be an aggressive domestic dispute.

Lowo was reportedly initially stabbed on the shoulder, Monday night, for which he was treated and then sedated, a family source is quoted to have said.

Yewande then allegedly stabbed him in the throat, early Tuesday morning, while he slept. She was said to have locked the door and refused to seek help for her dying husband.

Yewande’s family is believed to be highly influential. A friend of the victim described them as “a powerful political family”.

The Oyo state police has confirmed the incident.

The state police PRO, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, told NewsroomNG that the wife is in police custody and that investigation is ongoing.

“The commissioner of police has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to commence a discreet investigation with immediate effect,” he said.

Lowo’s body has been deposited in the Adeoyo General Hospital mortuary at Ring Road, Ibadan.

Yewande and Lowo were married for three years without any children..
