The journalist responsible for that ridiculous story on Eritrea has been redeployed.

According to Kenyan media reports, Standard Media Group Digital Editor David Ohito was the one who let the story on Eritrea’s forced polygamy fly.

Ohito also gave the green light for another story stating Tanzania had banned its women from wearing miniskirts.

The Standard said it is transferring Ohito to another branch to “put things in order.” Note that he’s been sent packing to another branch, not that he’s fired. He’s off to Kisumu.

You recall the fake news about Eritrea forcing it’s men to marry at least two wives or be jailed for life got us all worked up.

Some Nigerians even joked of travelling to Eritrea to marry multiple brides. We wonder what those people will tell their wives now.
