Child Rape: Driver calls little girl “my wife”, damages her vagina
A 40-year-old commercial bus driver, identified as Baba Michael, has been nabbed after he allegedly damaged a 7-year-old girl’s vagina during series of sexual engagements.
The girl was said to have lost control of her bladder by repeatedly urinating on herself after being sexually violated by Baba Michael.
The man, reports say, often calls the little girl ‘my wife’.
He was arrested at Ilupeju, PalmGroove area of Lagos State on Tuesday.
The suspect’s alleged sexual violation was exposed when the girl urinated on herself during examination, which made one of her class mates alert their class teacher.
According to the victim’s mother, Faya Lawal, it was her daughter’s class teacher who drew her attention to her daughter’s bladder control problem.
Lawal explained that her daughter’s teacher proceeded to ask her who often sent the little girl on errands in their compound.
She said: “Before I got to her school, the management had invited Child Protection Network, a human rights group.
“After much interrogation, my daughter confessed that it was Baba Michael, our neighbour, who defiled her. Baba Michael just moved into our compound two months ago.
“He lives with his uncle and fourmonth- old baby.
“It is my daughter that usually takes care of the little baby. She also used to run errands for the man.”
According to a report by New Telegraph, the victim was subsequently taken to Mirabel Centre, at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), where it was confirmed she had been defiled.
