WATCH: Ondo varsity students protest 500% increase in school fees
Hundreds of students of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, have on Monday, taken to the streets to protest the increment in their tuition.
It was gathered that the school’s tuition was increased from N25,000 to N180,000.
Preventing motorists from moving freely, the students, armed with placards bearing different inscriptions, chanted solidarity songs.
Maintaining that their parents are not financially capable to afford the new tuition, the protesting students said the 500% increment was unacceptable.
