Tragedy! Nigerian man, pregnant wife, two sons die after “bad wiring” led to fire
Tragedy has struck again! And it’s barely two weeks since it struck in the Omogbo family resident in the United States where four of them died in a fire incident.
Another Nigerian family has been caught in a fire incident in the US.
The Owojori’s residence at 201 Coleman Street in West Monroe caught fire, Sunday morning, moments after Jeremiah Owojori, the father of the house, informed a maintenance officer of a power outage in the building.
Jeremiah, 26, and his 7-month-old son ended up on life support in an area hospital while Ashley, 24, and his pregnant wife, Halley, her 5-year-old son were taken to LSU Medical Centre in Shreveport.

Halley died on Wednesday, while the rest of the family passed on Thursday evening.
While examining the remains of the building, investigators located three electrical junction boxes with decades-old wiring system connected to more modern Romex wiring. They believe the faulty wiring led to the fire.
Condolence messages keep pouring in on Jeremiah Owojori’s Facebook page where his last post on Sunday morning reads:
“Those who do not Respect Authority/Leadership will Never get to the Height of Authority/Leadership Themselves.”
May their souls rest in peace..
