At Least Six Nigerians Deported from U.S. Arrive in Lagos
At least six Nigerians arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, following their deportation from the United States.
Their deportation is in line with President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration in the U.S.
According to reports, the Nigerians were charged with various crimes, and it is expected that further actions regarding their cases will be taken by Nigerian government agencies.

Tom Homan, who was appointed White House Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal Operations by President Trump, stated that immigration arrests at workplaces have tripled since the beginning of Trump’s second term—and “it’s going to triple again.”
It is estimated that about 3,000 Nigerians living in the U.S. could be affected by the ongoing immigration crackdown by the Trump administration.
