Young and old voters in Hwolshe, Jos North local government area of Plateau state, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, were at Obasanjo Primary School Howlshe, Jos, Plateau State, as early as 8:30 am to vote in Nigeria’s crucial presidential election.

One of the electorates told Neusroom, “we are voting to ensure we don’t go through the present hardship in another four and eight years.”

A Neusroom correspondent who was at the polling unit reports that the voters were outraged when the two BVAS at the polling unit failed to accredit the voters.

At another polling unit in Buhit, Bassa Local Government area of Plateau State, voting materials didn’t arrive until 9:36 am.

Jos North LGA has seen a series of gunmen attacks over the years. Barely two weeks after 25 travellers were killed in the area in August 2021, gunmen attacked another community in the LGA killing more than 30 people.
