“Produce fleeing political thugs in 48 hours” – Dino Melaye warns Police IG
Wanted Senator, Dino Melaye has given the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris 48-hours ultimatum to produce fleeing political thugs.
Two suspects, Kabir Saidu and Nuhu Salisu, who accused Dino of being their godfather, had managed to escape from police custody early Wednesday morning.
Dino, who has been declared wanted by the police, said at the plenary on Wednesday that the suspects had escaped before he could make his appearance at a Lokoja court as directed.
The Senator said he had already informed his lawyers to take a legal action against the Police boss if he fails to have the suspects re-arrested.
Idris has, however, ordered the immediate removal of Ali Janga, the Commissioner of Police in the state.
