RIDICULOUS! Political thugs who “worked for Dino Melaye” escape from police custody
The suspected political thugs who accused Senator Dino Melaye of being their godfather have escaped from police custody in Kogi.

Kabir Saidu and Nuhu Salisu were paraded a week ago for their involvement in nefarious activities in the state.
Saidu, leader of the gang, specifically mentioned Dino Melaye as their sponsor. He said Dino personally handed pump action rifles and a cash sum to him last December.
Saidu said the arms and cash gift were to be used to silence the Senator’s political opponents.
Police subsequently declared Dino a wanted man. They said he had refused previous invitations to appear at the headquarters to defend himself from Saidu’s claims.
Dino was given an ultimatum to appear before a court in Lokoja on Wednesday (today).
The dramatic lawmaker cried fowl. He blamed the state’s governor Yahaya Bello of witch-hunting him.
It was later reported that Dino had fled the country.
New reports today reveal that Saidu and Nuhu, along with four other suspects, have somehow managed to escape from police custody.
Police commissioner in the state, Ali Janga, said that there was serious suspicion of connivance by the men of the Special anti-robbery squad guarding the suspects.
“This is a clear case of constructive escape,” Janga said, adding that the suspects broke the door of the cell despite that two guards were assigned to keep watch on them.
Janga also said that five of police officers on duty at the time the suspects escaped have been suspended.
He appealed to the members of the public to assist the police with useful information on the whereabouts of the fleeing suspects.
“Iinvestigation into the unfortunate incident is ongoing, while thirteen police officers who were on duty when the incident occurred were defaulted and detained for interrogation,” he said.
The police boss reiterated that the duo of Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu have been declared wanted.
