Niger police arrest four suspected kidnappers
A four-man gang has been arrested by the police in Niger while allegedly trying to kidnap a victim, Abdullahi Aliyu.
Nothern City News reports that the suspects, who claimed to be farmers, confessed of that they wanted to make quick money.
One of the suspects, Hamza said the victim was his master.
“I have disappointed my master (Aliyu) and I wouldn’t like to give reasons for none will suffice. How can I face him after doing evil to him, l am finished,” Hamza said.
The state police spokesperson, Muhammad Abubakar, identified the suspects as Isah Usman, Safiyanu Hamza, Mohammed Umar, Ibrahim Adamu, all residents of Chanchaga.
Abubakar added that a cutlass and a locally-made revolver gun including two live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
