Man beheads rider for resisting motorcycle theft in Kogi

One Dauda Yakubu has been arrested by the police in Niger for allegedly beheading a motorcycle rider.

Yakubu, according to the police, beheaded Emmanuel Sunday as he attempted to snatch the victim’s motorcycle in Girinya village, Konton-Karfe LGA of Kogi State.

Reports by Nothern City News says that Yakubu was caught after he had made away with the motorcycle.

The deceased’s elder brother, Amos Sunday, had reported to the police that he did not return home from work.

Yakubu, after his arrest, reportedly confessed that he beheaded Emanuel because he struggled with him while attempting to collect the bike. He also said he committed the crime with the help of an accomplice, Mohammed Yunusa.

“He refused to hand over his motorcycle to me; so, I got angry and we beheaded him and zoomed off with the motorcycle,” he is quoted as saying.
