Man dies during FRSC recruitment

An applicant seeking a spot among 4,000 new recruits required by the Federal Road Safety Corps died during the recruitment process in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Tuesday.

The unnamed applicant was said to have dropped his ticket and passed out. He was rushed to the army clinic in Chari Megumeiri Barracks and gave up about 30 minutes after.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Segun Martins, confirmed the death of the deceased applicant but didn’t provide his personal details.

NAN reports that the FRSC, while it condoles with the deceased’s family, said the incident cannot result in the postponement of the recruitment in Kogi.

The recruitment commenced on Tuesday, after only 4,000 people were selected out of the 324,000 that applied.
