Hajj: Nigerian pilgrim dies after falling from an elevator in Saudi Arabia

A Nigerian man from Niger state who was on the Hajj holy pilgrimage has been confirmed dead after falling out from an elevator in Mecca.
Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, the Commissioner in charge of Health at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria broke the news to the deceased’s family where he prayed that Allah forgave him and to console the family.
Dr Ibrahim further said that immediately the incident happened, it was reported and NAHCON sent medical personnel to the scene but the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
It was reported that the elevator was bad and the manager of the residence, had not warned people against taking the elevator there but there were no signs to inform pilgrims who were not told verbally.
