Man, 52, sustains severe injuries after building collapses in Kano
A 52-year-old man, Malam Mohammed Zakiru, was on Thursday morning rescued by Kano State Fire Service from a collapsed duplex at Kofar Na’isa Quarters in the state.
The spokesperson of the fire service, Saidu Mohammed told NAN that the man was stuck inside the building after it crumbled.
Mohammed said: “We received a distress call today (Thursday) from Musa Muhammed, who lives in the neighbourhood, at 6:45 am that a building had collapsed.
“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team and a vehicle to the scene at 7:20 am.”
He said the victim was rescued after he had sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Murtala Mohammed Teaching Hospital.
He advised those living in cracked or old houses to relocate or vacate the houses during this rainy season in other to avoid any unfortunate incidents.
