141 Nigerian migrants return from Libya
About 141 Nigerians have voluntarily returned from Libya through the help of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the European Union (EU).
The Chief Planning Officer of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Segun Afolayan told NAN on Wednesday in Lagos that the returnees, which include 11 pregnant women, arrived at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Ikeja at about 10:45 pm on Tuesday.
Afolayan said among the 141 passengers, were 53 male adults, six male children, five male infants and 71 female adults, three female children, and three female infants.
Afolayan advised the returnees to use the bad experience in Libya as fuel for motivation to succeed here in Nigeria.
“The Federal Government is urging you to be ambassadors of positive change by taking the anti-irregular migration campaign to those still aspiring to take the dangerous journey,” he said.
“You can talk to them in the language they will understand most.”
