ISIS beheads teenagers for listening to pop music, not attending prayers
A 15-year-old boy was beheaded in Mosul for listening to Western pop music, Kurdish media reports.
Ayham Hussein was discovered by ISIS henchman as he was listening to a portable compact disc player.
Hussein was detained by ISIS operatives as he sat inside a shop owned by his father in an open-air market in western Mosul. The boy was beaten and tried in a local sharia court, which sentenced him to be executed,” Jerusalem Post reports.
A source told Kurdish media that the boy was beheaded in a town square in the centre of the city sparking a rare protest.
Similarly, ARA News reports that two young men were arrested last Friday for failing to attend prayers at the main mosque in Mosul.
A local activist said the duo were shot dead outside the mosque on Sunday.
“The execution took place after a member of the Sharia Court read a statement vowing anyone who misses the prayers at the mosque to face the same punishment,” the activist said..
