Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra Announce Separation After 30 Years Together

Pep Guardiola and Serra

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have decided to part ways after three decades together. The couple, married since 2014 after meeting in 1994, confirmed their separation in a report published by SPORT on Monday, describing the split as “totally cordial, stable, and friendly.”

After 30 years of building a life together, their paths began to diverge in recent years. Guardiola spent much of his time in Manchester while Serra settled in Barcelona. Serra has reportedly lived full-time in Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina, while Guardiola remains based in the UK.

Guardiola and Serra have three children: Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17. The split has been described as amicable, with both parties remaining supportive of each other despite the end of their marriage.

Serra, a Brazilian journalist and a fashion stylist, has maintained a relatively low public profile in recent years, though she has been photographed with Guardiola at various events. In 2019, she relocated to Barcelona to focus on her work with her family’s fashion company, Serra Claret.

The decision to separate was reportedly made in December, though only close family and friends were initially informed. Guardiola’s inner circle has been asked to respect their privacy and refrain from disclosing further details about the split.

Meanwhile, Guardiola’s career continues to soar. In November, the 52-year-old coach signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City, ensuring he will remain with the Premier League champions until 2027, despite previous speculation about his potential departure at the end of his prior deal.
