Cole Palmer Claims 2023/24 PFA Young Player of The Year Award
Chelsea talisman, Cole Palmer, has claimed the award of Young Player of The Year at the 2023/24 PFA Awards.
The in-form forward was voted by his peers for the award held at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday.
Palmer saw off 5 other candidates to claim the prestigious 2023/24 Award in his first full top flight season in the English Premier League.

Other nominees for the award category include: Joao Pedro (Brighton and Hove Albion) Michael Olise (Crystal Palace); Manchester United’s pair of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho and; Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

Cole Palmer had, before the start of the 2023/24 EPL season, swapped Manchester City for Chelsea over concerns regarding playing time.
The switch paid off as Cole Palmer recorded an astonishing 40+ goals and assists last season.
Palmer was also part of the English side that went all the way to Euro Championship Final, but, lost to Spain eventually.
The player came off the bench in that game and scored his team’s equalizer, a goal that proved somewhat insignificant as Spain went on to score again in the dying embers of the game to claim the trophy
The Englishman will now look to replicate last season’s form this term, albeit, with his team already opening their new season with a disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Champions, Man City.
