A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of an estate in Banana Island area of Lagos reportedly owned by former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of $37.5m alleged to have been fraudulently siphoned by the former minister.
Diezani who was minister of petroleum resources under former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, has been embroiled in charges bordering on corrupt practices.
She allegedly benefited from awarding unmerited contract to two Nigerian oil businessmen, Kolawole Aluko and Olajide Omokore.
