50-year-old Nigerien severally defiles neighbour’s 10-year-old daughter in Lagos
At 50, Lukman Haruna would be expected to provide fatherly love and protection of children. But he has instead been accused of defiling a 10-year-old with his fingers.
The incident, according to police authorities, occurred at Abule-Egba area of Lagos, where Haruna, a Nigerien, and the victim’s parents are residents.
The suspect’s neighbour, Mrs. Abali, filed a police report that after she discovered blood stains around her daughter’s private part. The little girl had said Haruna was fond of inserting his fingers in her private part.
Lagos police boss, Edgal Imohimi, said medical tests showed the girl had been severally penetrated.
“The victim identified the suspect as the one responsible for her predicament,” Edgal said while parading Haruna before newsmen.
Child rape incidents have been on the rise in recent times, with suspects mostly being old men.
