2019 Election: Accord party teams with Agbaje ‘to wrestle Lagos from Tinubu’
Jimi Agbaje has gained an ally in Accord Party in his quest to ‘wrestle Lagos from Bola Tinubu’s grip’.
The PDP candidate has been running his campaign on a ‘Free Lagos’ mantra, which he has said is aimed at demystifying the former Lagos governor’s foothold on the state.
The Accord Party, in an event at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja on Thursday, said its members are throwing their weights behind Agbaje to achieve his dream.
AP’s governorship candidate, Joseph Beckley has thrown in the towel. He said he has decided to back Agbaje in the state’s interest.
A grateful Agbaje said at the event: “Enough of Baba Sope. Enough of Eko sun lo. It is time to free Lagosians. And for those on the other side, it is not too late to join this moving train.”
The party also said claimed to have welcomed 20,000 defecting APC members.
