Go and learn tailoring and vulcanising if you want freedom – Tinubu mocks Agbaje

As the race for the governorship seat in Lagos becomes more intense, shots are being fired from respective political camps.

PDP candidate Jimi Agbaje has based his campaign on a #freelagos mantra, and he suggested last week that the ploy to destroy his campaign boards was evidence that the commercial state “is in bondage”.

He has also severally pointed to Babajide Sanwoolu’s emergence as APC candidate as an indication that Lagos was under the stranglehold of political stalwart Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu responded to Agbaje’s claims at the APC stakeholder’s meeting in Ikeja on Monday.

“Those who said they wanted freedom should go and learn tailoring and vulcanising and we will do freedom for them later,” he said.

“He was in the contest for the first and second times. He is in the contest for the third time. He will fail again.”

The former governor also demanded that the state delivers at least three million votes for President Muhammadu Buhari at next year’s poll.

“We suffered 16 years of their failure and fake promises. We have made progress in Lagos We have become the fifth largest economy in Africa. We have six million votes in Lagos,” he said.

“Your target should be half; three million or the entire six million. We must vote en masse for President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, our governorship candidate, senators, house of representatives and assembly candidates, and later, our chairmen and councillors.”
