WATCH: VIO officers flee, abandon money after being busted for extorting motorists in Delta
Rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu said he busted three Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) allegedly extorting money from motorists on along Azagba Ogwashi Uku road in Delta State.
The officers took to their heels for fear of being exposed and left behind a purse in which they allegedly stored the money received from their victims. Their identities are not known.
Gwamishu urged the state government and the Ministry of Transport to provide the corrupt officers for appropriate punishment.
