Police dismiss SARS officer for extorting citizen of N5,000
Police have dismissed Inspector Charles Olusola Omotosho after being found guilty of extorting a citizen of N5,000 in May.
Omotosho, attached to SARS Ikorodu, Lagos, had made his victim transfer the sum to his bank account.
The victim claimed the SARS operatives pulled her over with her colleagues on their way to a shoot and threatened to waste their lives.
Police say investigation showed that Omotosho was guilty.
Three other accomplices were punished with reduction in rank – from Sergeant to Corporal.
