Hours after Babajide Sanwo-Olu called for peaceful election campaign in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje has complained that his boards on 3rd Mainland Bridge have been vandalised by unknown persons.

The PDP candidate said that the destroyed boards were noticed early Saturday morning.

“Early this morning our boards were vandalized and removed just as campaign commenced,” he said.

“Some of our deployment staff were also threatened with violence and warned to desist.”

Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, had implored Lagos citizens to go about the campaign period peacefully, but Agbaje calls the latest development an act of “tyranny”.

“We will not be silent and we will not be oppressed or suppressed into a corner,” he said.

The campaign for votes by governorship candidates officially begins today.
