Video: TV reporter stabbed while testing ‘knife-proof’ vest
January 7, 2016
A television reporter in Israel ended up in a hospital after he got stabbed while demonstrating a protective vest for a TV report.
Eitam Lachover donned the “knife-proof” garment and was stabbed several times in front of a camera for a segment on Channel 1 news.
Apparently the knife penetrated the vest and left the reporter with a slight cut to his back which required stitches.
Yaniv Montakyo, Vice-President of the vest manufacturing company, who did the stabbing said he had stabbed Lachover in a section of the vest where there was no protective material.
The same safety vest is being prepared for use by Israeli soldiers following a recent wave of stabbings by Palestinians.
