UPDATE: 2 confirmed dead in Lagos building collapse

Lagos emergency agency said one man was rescued alive from a partial building collapse in Lekki today.
The man identified as Yakub “sustained some injuries and had been taken to the hospital,” LASEMA general manager Adesina Tiamiyu told Newsroom.
Two other men, identified as Tasiu and Abdulahi, were not so lucky.

They died after parts of the uncompleted building located at Nicon town Estate, Admiralty Way collapsed on them.

The deadly incident occurred at about 11.40am. LASEMA said part of the rood under construction caved in.
“The agency sealed the building for further investigation to be carried out by the appropriate authorities,” Tiamiyu said.
