UNILAG student says Babachir Lawal’s suspension is a “lie”
President Muhammadu Buhari suspended the SGF Babachi Lawal and the DG of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ayo Oke. Here’s why.
He appointed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo chair of a committee set up to investigate both officials.
University of Lagos (UNILAG) student Femi Adeyeye had the following to say about the development.
“Over time, committees in Nigeria are always created by the government when there is dire necessity to create a BIGGER LIE to cover up a SMALL LIE,” Adeyeye wrote on Facebook this morning.
“A perfect example of such was the Arms Procurement investigation COMMITTEE.
“What came out of that committee was a bigger lie including some members killed during the investigation.
“One particular member; a naval officer was said to have committed ‘suicide’ in his apartment at Lekki. Hmm.!
“The investigation to the best of my knowledge and assessment was INCONCLUSIVELY DOCTORED.
“It’s high time Buhari took charge of the Presidency lest the one-million-naira question asked by Babachir Lawal – ‘Who is the Presidency?’ – would soon be the rant by all.
“Some of us can’t just be deceived. Nigerians await with keen interest, the findings of this Committee headed by the VP Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
“What do I even know!?”
