Togolese cook is alive – Prison official
A prison officer has debunked reports that Sunday Anani, the suspected killer of Chief Opeyemi Bademosi, has died.
Reports circulated Wednesday afternoon that the Togolese died in prison custody.
A spokesperson for the Nigerian Prisons Service in Lagos, Rotimi Oladokun, has however, confirmed to Punch that the report of Anani’s death was not true.
“I have confirmed that he is in the prison and he is doing fine. There is nothing wrong with him,” Oladokun is quoted as saying.
Anani is expected to face the court December 18 for a one-count charge of murder.
