Suicidal man rescued after jumping into Lagos lagoon
One suicidal man identified only as Nurudeen has been rescued after he jumped into the lagoon from Third Mainland Bridge early Tuesday morning.
Reports say witnesses at the scene confirmed that Nurudeen dropped his I.D card, called his wife and dropped his unlocked phone before he jumped into the lagoon.
He was later saved by some fishermen on the water who handed him over to the water authorities before he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Nurudeen’s motive for attempting suicide was still unclear at the time he was rescued.
