Star Delights Music & Football Fans At Exceptional Concert

Nigeria witnessed its first ever music and football concert on Saturday 6th May, 2017 at the Balmoral Marquee of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island courtesy Star Lager Beer, Nigeria’s first indigenously brewed premium beer.

The concert which was the first of three concerts under Star Lager Beer’s premier music and football platform, #StarMusicTheFusion, will go down in history as one of the most thrilling events as it was a perfect blend of the best of music and football Nigeria has got to offer.

The #StarMusicTheFusion concerts combines the fun and excitement of Star Music Trek and Star Super Fans Show on one platform. Launched in March 2017 by premium beer brand, Star Lager Beer, at an event attended by celebrities, customers and members of the Press, #StarMusicTheFusion was kick started with the dispatch of packages to DJs, musicians, football stars and fans with an instruction to solve a fun puzzle (9 pieces of cut images which when correctly matched together became a beautiful invitation card with the inscription “The Fusion”) in the package, after which they were required to share the video on social media using #StarMusicTheFusion and the team they belonged to. The completed puzzle served as the gate-pass to the Lagos concert.

The Lagos concert featured six (6) teams comprising of two top music artistes, a DJ and a football star competing against each other in a series of live performances. It was indeed a night of fun, excitement and lots of music.

Commenting on the historic event, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Franco Maria Maggi, said: “We are glad to hold the first concert in the new #StarMusicTheFusion series of football and music events. As the Lagos concert was the first in 2017, two more #StarMusicTheFusion concerts will hold in two other Nigerian cities in the coming months.

STAR, Nigeria’s No. 1 beer brand, was introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949 as the first indigenously brewed beer in a market that was dominated exclusively by imported brands.

STAR is largely responsible for the growth of the Nigerian indigenous beer industry as its success story has influenced the introduction of other successful brands.
