Soldier allegedly shoots colleague dead, attempts to kill self in Abuja
A soldier has allegedly killed his colleague at the Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja. The yet-to-be-identified soldier was said to have also shot himself.
Reports say the offending soldier had taken a break, only to return allegedly drunk and confrontational.
The guard commander, who was in mufti, was said to have confronted him over his drinking habit and asked him to change up for duty.
The suspect allegedly went in, changed into his uniform, picked up his rifle, came out and shot the guard commander.
He allegedly attempted to kill himself after he shot the guard commander, but missed as the bullet shattered his mouth.
