Police kill 3 suspects who planned attack on plane in Port Harcourt

The Nigeria Police Force says a special intelligence team intercepted and killed 3 suspected armed robbers who were on a mission to attack an Arik plane on Monday following a tip-off.

The suspected criminals reportedly engaged the Police in a shootout at the busy UTC Junction in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, with one of them suffering gunshot wounds.

An eyewitness told PUNCH that one of the suspects alighted from their car and opened fire on some policemen after they had been forced to stop at a traffic light due to other cars that had queued ahead of them.
