Ondo CAC pastor allegedly impregnates 16-year-old

NSCDC Commandant said the pastor’s refusal to fulfil his promise may have prompted the girl’s confession.

A pregnant 16-year-old has pointed accusing fingers at a pastor with the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Ondo State of being responsible for putting her in family way.

The girl (name withheld) said Josiah Akinsuyi, 46, had been having sexual affairs with her. One of those sexual activity, she told operatives of the NSCDC, occurred in a classroom in Akinsuyi’s wife’s private school.

Akinsuyi was arrested and paraded by the operatives on Wednesday after he was reported by the girl’s father.

NSCDC Commandant in Ondo, Pedro Awili, alleged that Akinsuyi who stayed with the girl’s family at Abusoro, Ijoka area of Akure, started his affair with the teenager after one Sunday Babatunde had sexually defiled her.

The girl was already four months pregnant when her father found out about the affair.

“Our investigation revealed that the pastor had had carnal knowledge of the girl three times and we have carried out pregnancy test which proved that the girl is four months pregnant,” Awili said.

“Investigation also revealed that the elder sister of the girl has something doing with the pastor, because the first time he wanted to have carnal knowledge of her, she was not cooperating and she informed her sister about it, and the sister asked her to cooperate with the pastor.

“She told us that there was a time this same pastor slept with her in the classroom of one private school owned by his wife. The pastor denied having any intercourse with the girl.

“I am not expecting him to accept the allegation. The girl confessed to us that the pastor had earlier promised to give her N50,000, but he failed on his promise.”

Awili said the pastor’s refusal to fulfil his promise may have prompted the girl’s confession.
