‘Nothing will stop Anambra Elections on Nov 6’ – Abaribe
Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe has confirmed that elections would hold in the state on November 6.
Abaribe who addressed residents of the state on Sunday October 31st, 2021 said he put a phone call to Nnamdi Kanu‘s lawyer who refuted claims that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist organization in Nigeria planned to stall elections.
“On my way here, I spoke with the lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu. I signed his bail and went to jail for him. I was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) for a week where they checked my account. Unfortunately, they found that I was owing the banks. They called me and said why are you making trouble, if you don’t even have money. And I called them and said of course, it is those of us who have nothing that have time to make trouble.
“I asked the lawyer who gave the order that there would be no elections? He responded that IPOB has never said there would not be an election. What we see today are fifth columnists sending information so you don’t come out and exercise your rights.”
