NLC rejects governors’ N22,500 minimum wage proposal
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has made it known it feels ridiculed by state governors’ proposal of N22,500 as new minimum wage.
The union which was initially ready to settle for N30,000 as the new wage now says it wants N66,500.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba said on Wednesday that the governors’ forum was not in the capacity to dictate what can be paid workers.
The union insists it would embark on a national strike November 6.
