How MTN is leading the charge with its COVID-19 interventions
Global telecommunication giant MTN Nigeria has continued to lead the charge among organusations and individuals showing responsibility with their interventions in response to the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Neusroom stats findings revealed that the company has so far donated N35 billion in cash and material to Nigeria’s fight against the deadly virus.
Aside from donation of N1 billion to the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) and support for all the 36 states of the federation, MTN also rolled out a series of measures to support its subscribers which include 300 free monthly SMS and 100 MB daily incentive to its subscribers when they visit some select websites that provide accurate information on the virus.
As at Friday May 22, MTN subscribers have sent over 2 billion free text messages valued at more than N22 billion.
