Here’s all you need to know about the ongoing NEClive9 registration

The ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) is scheduled to hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, with speakers, panelists, and performers from all around Africa coming together to discuss the theme, ‘Sustaining The Africa Momentum’. Registration for the event and reservation of seats is currently ongoing at Nec.ng.

As we countdown to the big day, here are nine things you need to know about the ninth edition of NECLive.

  1. The Nigerian Entertainment Conference was founded in 2013 and since then, it has served as a platform for discussing challenges, exchanging ideas, and finding a strengthened pathway for the Nigerian entertainment industry to thrive.
  2. The conference will hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 9 AM (WAT) as it returns in-person for the first time in three years as a special hybrid event to be held at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos and simultaneously broadcast live on cable TV and online platforms.
  3. NECLive9 is themed, “Sustaining The Africa Momentum”, and the event is expanding beyond Nigeria into a pan-African conference that would address continental issues affecting the creative and entertainment industry.
  4. Participants can register to attend NECLive9 by selecting from the three available categories on www.nec.ng. These categories include the physical attendance at the Lagos venue which is limited and strictly by invitation, the virtual participants who will watch the live stream of the conference via digital platforms, and viewers watching the live broadcast on Hip TV (for DStv and GOtv subscribers).
  5. Conversations at NECLive9 will explore how African creatives and entertainers can use digital media and technology tools to build sustainable economic power for themselves, the industry, and their nations as well as how to use entertainment as a vehicle for driving social change on the continent.
  6. As Nigeria prepares for the 2023 general elections, NECLive9 will also delve into the role of creatives and the entertainment industry in nation-building, amongst other salient social issues.
  7. Aside from the impactful speeches and panel discussions by players in the entertainment industry, the conference will also feature live performances by entertainers from across Africa and include product unveilings, brand announcements, and industry tributes.
  8. NECLive9 is organised by ID Africa in partnership with Hip TV, MTV Base, African Movie Channel, Trace TV, 7Even Interactive Limited, Legit NG, AV Edge, Huce Valeris, The GreenRoom Nigeria, Mirus Events, Landmark Centre, MultiChoice, Plaqad, BHM, and X3m Ideas.
  9. Registration for NECLive9 closes on April 22, and there will be no manual registration at the venue.

#NECLive is the marketplace for innovative ideas, products, the unveiling of dynamic solutions that will connect, engage and encourage industry collaborations for sustainable socio-economic development; while offering a brighter future on the continent.
