Finally! Abducted 14-year-old Ese Oruru regains freedom

Eight months after her abduction, Ese Oruru, 14, is now in the custody of the Federal Government, reports say.

Hours ago, NewsroomNG reported that the emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II had ordered the release of the little girl who was abducted and forcefully married by one Yunusa of Kura local government are of Kano state.

And that was after we told you that the Minister for Women Affairs, Sen. Jummai Alhassan had vowed to do everything within her powers to secure the girl’s release.

It has all paid off, thankfully.

However, details of the IGP’s plan to return Ese to her family and to prosecute those that violated the country’s laws are still being expected.
