Breaking: Sanusi orders release of Ese Oruru

The emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II on Monday ordered the release of Ese Oruru reportedly abducted by one Yunusa of Kura local government are of Kano state.

Sanusi, reports say, directed the state Sharia Commission to liaise with the office of the Assistant Inspector General of police, zone 1 to commence the process of returning the 14-year-old to Bayelsa state, where she was abducted from.

“I have ordered the sharia commission to liaise wit the office of Deputy Inspector General of police zone 1 to repatriate and reconcile the teenage with her family immediately,” he said.

He also distance himself and the Kano emirate council from the girl’s abduction.

Women affairs minister, Sen Jumai Alhassan, early Monday morning vowed to do everything in her power to secure the girl’s release..
