Former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose has arrived the Federal High Court, Ikoyi to begin trial over alleged N30.8 billion fraud.
There was heavy security as the EFCC arrived the court with Fayose early Monday morning.
He is being arraigned before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, while he is being defended by a former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN).
Fayose arrived EFCC headquarters in Abuja last Tuesday after his immunity as governor of Ekiti expired.
He was alleged to have received about N1.3 billion sum from the Office of the National Security Adviser through former Minister of Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.
The governor pleaded not guilty to 11 charges bordering on misappropriation of N30.8 billion.
