Ekiti father allegedly impregnates, murders teenage daughter
The man, named William, (according to people in the community where the “murder” took place) had been separated from his wife for a while. She had left with the deceased’s younger siblings leaving the 14-year-old to take care of her father.
William, 50, had reportedly slept with his daughter, and threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone.
The girl’s protruding belly called the attention of people in the community, and they started suspecting the father because (according to them) the girl wasn’t in any way promiscuous.
William arrested on Sunday on his farm located in Aba Iso. He was reportedly caught digging a grave to bury his daughter after allegedly strangling her to death.
He was reportedly taken to the oba’s palace where the chiefs had advised angry residents not to take the law into their hands.
The body of the deceased has reportedly been taken to the mortuary. We gathered the community failed to report the matter to the police. We called the police in Ondo about the matter. They didn’t respond.
