Buhari: Doctors tell “Baba Go Slow” to go slower
President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to bring energy and pace to the Presidency.
No sooner had he become President than Nigerians named him “Baba Go Slow”. “I prefer to go slow and steady,” Buhari muted back.
It took a healthy Buhari six months to name a cabinet, and as we speak, two years into Buhari’s administration, many Nigerian embassies have no ambassadors or high commissioners.
Nigeria also have a long way to go regarding its ailing economy. The Presidency, under Buhari, highlighted an “economic recovery plan”. Everyone’s waiting for implementation.
At this critical point where the country needs every hand on deck, the Presidency says Buhari, who has been going slow, needs to go slower.
Question: Is Buhari’s lack of pace in Nigeria’s interest?
From your residence in Aso Rock to your office is a 5 minute walk. If you cant make it, it means you need something more than test at home!

“President Buhari’s absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday, April 26, was a last minute decision; otherwise, the cabinet and the public might have been alerted in advance,” spokesperson Garba Shehu said on Thursday.
“As eager as he is to be up and about, the President’s doctors have advised on his taking things slowly, as he fully recovers from the long period of treatment in the United Kingdom some weeks ago.
“Full recovery is sometimes a slow process, requiring periods of rest and relaxation.
“Despite his lack of visibility, Nigerians should rest assured that President Buhari has not abdicated his role as Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria.
“He receives daily briefings on the activities of government, and confers regularly with his Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
“His private residence, in which he has been spending the majority of his time recently, also has a fully equipped office,” he said.
Hand over to Osinbajo! It doesn't have to be permanent. Go take care of yourself. Aso Rock is a PRESIDENTIAL Villa not a retirement home!
