Breast milk to “serve” as “cure” for cancer

A new discovery by researchers shows that breast milk could serve as a cure for cancer, Metro UK reports.

Researchers reportedly found out that breast milk contains a substance nicknamed Hamlet, which kills off tumour cells.

Some bladder cancer patients have undergone tests, and with positive results, the publication says.

Hamlet does not have the same side effects as chemotherapy because it does not target health cells in the body, the researchers found out.

A professor from Sweden was said to have told Mail on Sunday that “there’s something magical about Hamlet’s ability to target tumour cells and kill them.”

He said of the result of one experiment carried out on human tumour cells: “To our amazement, when we added this compound of milk, the tumour cells died. It was a totally serendipitous discovery.”

Metro UK also reports that a 64-year-old man who has been suffering from bowel cancer since 2015, has started taking his 30-year-old daughter’s breast milk after she stumbled on reports from a research.

“Never did I think that my dad would agree to drink it,” she said.

“But he took realised he had nothing to lose and thought, ‘why not try it’,” she added.
