Baby-carrying woman curses driver after conductor who saved her life runs away with N50 change

Dangerous things happen in Lagos.

Commuters in a bus around Fadeyi area of the state almost witnessed one on Friday morning.

LASTMA officials work hard to ensure drivers show regard for traffic laws and fellow road users.

“A woman backing a baby tried to forcefully jump off the bus after the driver refused to stop at an unlawful bus stop,” Miss Ifeyinwa Nwabueze who was in the bus told Newsroom, Friday.

“The driver didn’t want to get into trouble with officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA),” Nwabueze said.

“The bus conductor saved the woman’s life. He held her back. She could have killed herself and her baby. Everyone in the bus was really shocked at the risk she was willing to take.

“When the woman later alighted at the right bus top, the driver drove off with her N50 change.”

“We heard her shouting and raining curses on the driver and his conductor,” Nwabueze said.
