WATCH: Panic as tanker, 4 vehicles involve in multiple accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway
A multiple accident involving at least four vehicles and a loaded tanker has just occurred at the descend of the Gbagada bridge, Iyana Oworo area of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The accident has caused heavy gridlock and motorists are now looking for alternative routes.
Eyewitnesses say the panic is as a result of fear that the tanker involved in the accident could leak its content on the road.
It is not yet clear if there are any casualties in the multiple accident.
Emergency operatives have, however, arrived the scene to begin evacuation process. The operatives call for calm.
The accident has occurred just as Nigerians prepare to usher in a new year.
