TRAGIC! One confirmed dead as container falls from Ojuelegba bridge
At least one person has been confirmed dead after a plywood-carrying truck tripped its container over the Ojuelegba bridge and landed on cars below.
The incident occurred Tuesday night in the Surulere area of Lagos.
A witness, Olusegun, shared that the container fell off the bridge at Ojuelegba “and the tricycle I was in drove by the bridge a few seconds, not minutes, but seconds after the container fell.
“I am speechless,” he said.
Another witness said the container fell on the cars in front of hers, adding that people at the scene have begun rescue operations.
It is still unclear if there are more casualties in the incident.
